Though he may have retired, Floyd Mayweather was never going to be shy and retiring once he hung up his gloves.

You don't get a nickname like Money without flaunting it a little bit, and that is exactly what the undefeated champ has been doing since he turned over mixed martial artist Conor McGregor a few weeks back in Las Vegas.

Floyd has been busy on his Instagram, posting a combination of ludicrous displays of opulence, paid promotion pieces from his high-end sponsors and even a little tour of his Beverly Hills pad, with all that it entails.

"My wine cellar in my Beverly Hills castle," was once such output, showing the diminutive Floyd - he's 5 foot 6 inches tall - reaching for a bottle of red. Clearly, the man also known as Money couldn't spring for a step ladder.

Another post was a panorama of what appears to be his front room, with the Champ listening to golden headphones in front of a roaring fire (probably not necessary in Southern California) in a room that looks like it was designed by Batman, given the amount of black on display.

The house boasts six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, and cost the boxer an eye-watering $25m (£18.9m).

"Livin' life in Beverly Hills," was the caption, and in Floydland, "livin' life" appears to mean "playing on his phone".

The third image was a particularly subtle effort, depicting some jewel-encrusted luxury watches in close-up with the message: "When it comes to luxury timepieces, Hublot is in a class of its own!

"As a collector of great watches, it's my personal opinion that every man and woman should have at least one of these classic timepieces in their collection.

"The Hublot brand knows, time is precious! #HUBLOT #timepieces #watches".

Of course, if every man and woman could afford to have at least one of these classic timepieces in their collection, the world economy would look very different indeed and in all likelihood, Floyd wouldn't be getting chucked a packet to flog them on his Instagram feed.

Still, Floyd has done the hard work so it's a bit harsh to slag off his height, his taste in interior design and his taste for expensively assembled product placement.
