Conor McGregor was whacked with a fine yesterday, after he pleaded guilty to speeding. The €400 (£350) fine isn't likely to upset him too much, but the same can't be said for the stinger inflicted on him by a member of the press outside of court.

McGregor, who wore a tracksuit for his day in court, was mobbed by journalists as he left Blanchardstown District Court in Dublin, amongst them was RTE reporter Paul Reynolds.
As he approached his car, a BMW worth around £114,500 ($130,000), alongside his entourage, McGregor said: "What a motor. Look at that motor!"

Prompting Reynolds to say: "It's only a 1.5, Conor."
McGregor looked a bit like he'd had the wind knocked out of him by Reynolds' cheeky comment and took a few seconds to compose himself before saying: "It's a rocket ship."

McGregor was ordered to attend court or face being arrested after he previously sent his business manager in his place on two previous occasions.
He was charged with speeding in March this year when he was caught driving at 98mph (158kph) in a 60mph (96kph) zone.
Judge Miriam Walsh was less than impressed with the MMA fighter, saying: "I'm very annoyed with Mr McGregor in the same way I'm annoyed with any other defendant."

However, in his usual style, he shared a photo of the car, with the hashtag #relaxjudge - I can't imagine she was best pleased with that.
When sentencing McGregor, she said: "I would warn, however, despite your fortune in life, that you take cognisance of other people on the roads."
After his appearance, he said: "I apologise for that. I wanted to show my respect by turning up here today."
