Floyd Mayweather Hits Back At 'Brag' Critics By Posing With Loads Of Cash

Credit where it's due, Floyd 'Money' Mayweather is one of the best boxers in history.

You also can't argue with his 'Money' moniker - he has absolutely loads of it and he reminds us all the time.

To many, his constant bragging about his wealth isn't very endearing, but the 42-year-old has hit back at these critics... posing with loads of massive piles of cash in the process.

The 50-0-0 boxer posted the picture of the cash - which he said totalled $2 million (£1,594,390) - on Instagram along with the caption: "This is what I've been hearing for 23 years... 'All Mayweather does is brag about his cars, his jewellery, his mansions, his ladies, his clothes and his money'. And this is what Mayweather says back... 'I'm happy y'all spent over 2 decades hating on me instead of building your own legacy'."

In case the picture didn't quite convey just how loaded he is, Floyd also shared a video in which he showed off a massive medallion, an Arnold Schwarzengger limited edition watch and a massive Chanel bag.

Oh, and he also gestured towards a pile of $20 bills totalling $200,000 (£159,380), which he described as 'wallpaper'.

In a caption with the video, he said: "I was once told that 'the loudest person in the room is the weakest person in the room'.

"Well, that works for the individuals that's doing something illegal. But in my case, I'm happy to flaunt my legal wealth and brag about being a black man that came from poverty, beat all odds and not give a f*** about what anybody thinks.

"Happy 4th, this is my independence! Now, let the fireworks begin!"

Clearly, his money obsession is never going to go away, and having risen to the very top of his field and entertained millions across the globe, he is entitled to spend his money on as many diamond encrusted vehicles as he likes.

However, you can't help but feel that cash could be put to better use in impoverished places, like where he grew up, rather than just lying on his table while he poses for pictures with it.

When Mayweather shares these pictures and videos, presumably he thinks about where he came from and those who doubted him. But if he spent any time whatsoever thinking about the horrific poverty millions of people live in every day, you'd have to hope he wouldn't relish flaunting his piles quite so much... Now there's a mental image even more grotesque than all the cash-flashing pics on his Instagram.
