Leicester City sacked manager Claudio Ranieri yesterday, less than a year after picking up the Premier League Title.

Last night, former Leicester City striker, and lifelong supporter, Gary Lineker has reacted with outrage to the news.

Gary has been a vocal supporter of Ranieri, earlier this month he claimed that the 65-year-old Italian should have a job for life at the club.

When Ranieri joined Leicester in 2015 the club was expected to be embroiled in a relegation battle, however, they bet 5000 to one odds to win the league title. They ended topping the table by 10 points and Gary ended up in presenting Match of the Day in his bills.

Despite winning the league last season the club have struggled this year, they're currently 17th in the league table and lost 2-1 to Sevilla in the Champions League earlier this week. They are yet to score in 2017 and have won just five of their games this season. There are also numerous reports of unhappy players.

All of this came to a head and it was formally announced yesterday that the Foxes would be looking for a new manager.

Shocked Gary took to Twitter to say:

I suppose only time will tell if this is the best decision for the Foxes or not.
