Oohh Burn - Floyd Mayweather Says Amir Khan Should ‘Stick To TV’

Oohh Burn - Floyd Mayweather Says Amir Khan Should ‘Stick To TV’

Floyd Mayweather is sick of being sent for by Amir Khan, who is currently in the Australian Jungle wimping out of encounters with snakes.

Amir Khan has been in the jungle for just over a week but in the boxing world he has been in the wilderness for a lot longer.

So, it seems a bit confusing that he would call out the biggest name in boxing - especially since he is also retired.

Bolton fighter Khan has been flapping his gums about a potential fight with Floyd Mayweather for ages, and it seems the Money Mayweather has had enough.

In an interview with The Daily Star On Sunday, the boxer said: "For the last five years all I have been hearing is Amir Khan running his mouth off that he deserves a shot against me.

"It's nothing new for me. Every fighter out there wants a chance against me because they know, win or lose, it's going to be a big pay day for them.

"I have always maintained I am nobody's meal ticket."

Mayweather, who retired with a perfect 50 - 0 record (although one of those was against Conor McGregor, who is NOT a boxer, no matter how much he thinks he is) also joked that Khan should be more scared of him than the critters he has to face on 'I'm a Celeb...'

"I only set up fights with fighters that deserve it and who are going to be part of a great fight for fans," he said.

"Only last month I read about him calling me out of retirement.

"He wants to fight the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world and now I hear he is running away from a few snakes and spiders.

"Please! He needs to get real and stick with TV."

His TV career isn't going too well either. The other day he was voted for by the public to do the Bushtucker Trial and ended up screaming and chickening out when faced with a load of snakes.

Khan hasn't boxed since he was sparked out by Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in 2016 - his fourth career loss - so sending for one of the greatest champions in boxing history is ambitious at best.

It's not the first time he has done this either.

In 2015, Khan filmed a bizarre video and was sending for Mayweather. He wore a mask with Floyd's face on it he shouted, "shut up and fight me!" and waved around handfuls of cash.

Even at 40 years old, Mayweather could probably take Khan out. All he would have to do is turn up to the ring carrying a snake.
