Season four of Cobra Kai is set to land on Netflix this December. Watch the new trailer below:

The spin-off series of the classic 80s movie Karate Kid has been a hit since it first came into our lives a few years ago.

Well, there's not too long to wait for more action, with the fourth instalment coming in a few months' time, a new teaser trailer has revealed.

Earlier this year, Netflix revealed that Terry Silver would be returning for the new season.

Fans were left theorising at the time about Silver's return, as the season finale of Cobra Kai's third series saw flashbacks that revealed John Kreese had saved Silver's life when they were both prisoners of war in Vietnam.

Later in the final episode, we also saw Kreese calling an old friend - mysteriously looking at a photo of Silver and their old army friends while doing so.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly a few months ago, Cobra Kai creator and executive producer Jon Hurwitz teased the return of Silver, saying: "You could guess who might've been on the other end of that call based off of the photo that he was looking at there.

"But we can't really speak to how Terry Silver would respond to that call - or whoever was on the other end of the line would respond to that call. I think you'll have to see if that character returns in season 4."

Filming wrapped on the new series back in May, with the exciting news being confirmed by stars William Zabka and Martin Kove.

Zabka wrote: "After 3 1/2 months of production, I'm proud to say [Cobra Kai season four] is officially wrapped!

"Ready???! LET'S BEGIN!"

The actor, who plays Johnny Lawrence, also added in some snazzy action shots of himself wearing a rather fetching face mask, which perhaps gives a clue as to why it took three and a half months to record, given Covid-19 restrictions.

His colleague Kove, who plays the sinister villain John Kreese in the Karate Kid flicks and Cobra Kai, shared a reference-laden post celebrating the show wrapping up.

He said: "Tonight, myself and the entire crew of COBRA KAI S4 officially wrapped! What a season, And what a year.

"A crew that is fearless and shows no mercy, through Covid we pushed on, we striked first and with a cast that strikes hard! @jonhurwitz @healdrules & @haydenschlossberg101 you have more energy than I knew was humanly possible.

"The Captains of our cobra Kai ship, leading us to glory daily, without your leadership we would be lost in the waters.

"Thank you @netflix and @sptv for allowing us to sweep the leg day in and day out. To @ralph_macchio & @william_zabka the battle rages on!

"I couldn't be more humbled to work along side you both. Who put the work in day in and day out and day in and day out. And to the fans.....well....the real story has only just begun....but you know that! So get ready because COBRA KAI....NEVER...DIES!!!!"
