Work has already begun on the most anticipated reunion ever - Matt LeBlanc has confirmed filming has begun for the upcoming HBO Max Friends special.

Speaking to American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson on her talk show (in an interview filmed before social distancing measure were put in place), the 52-year-old actor admitted filming had started on the Friends reunion, but stressed that the cast won't be bringing back the characters for an actual episode of the show.

Instead, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox and Matt will be back together on TV for the first time for a HBO Max Special where they would discuss the highlights of their time on the show.

However, for the time being, production has been halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. There's no way of telling when it might get started up again.

Matt said they would be reminiscing on the 'good old days'. He added: "We got the band back together without the instruments."

Talking about the early days of the show, Matt spoke about the weirdest moment of their heydey.

He explained: "I remember one time, it was during the week, I had been flipping channels and watching the news and for some reason, they had a split-screen on the TV, six squares.

"Each was a live shot of each one of our houses. Like a helicopter shot. I was watching it and there was no information or news, it was just showing houses."

Matt spoke about the upcoming HBO special.
Kelly Clarkson Show

Very creepy. Matt admitted it made him realise he needed a new roof.

And although production has stopped for the time being, your life doesn't need to be completely devoid of Friends (well, social distancing aside).

Not only can you binge the whole show in the name of research (SURELY, that would take us to the end of lockdown) - you can also use your new-found spare time to get better acquainted with the cast.

That's because you can now get Friends themed Guess Who.

The game uses the normal format but some creative little genius has changed all the usual faces to Friends characters, so you can determine who your opponent has by asking questions related to the show.

It's available on Etsy, and the creator has added these examples in the description: "Treat Yo Self to this custom made Friends themed Guess Who game made with YOUR favorite characters!

"Has your character been divorced? Did your character have a stuffed penguin? Was your character ON A BREAK? Did your character have a barcalounger?"

That should help pass the time until we can finally lay our eyes on that reunion special.

Let's all bring some positivity, support and fun to anyone who might find themselves in isolation as a result of the coronavirus spread. Need some entertainment? Join Isolation Nation: https://www.facebook.com/groups/coronasupport/
