Actor Helen McCrory passed away this week following a battle with cancer, and since the news of was announced, one of the memories being shared of her is the time she forgot her glasses when presenting at the BAFTA Awards but still managed to pull it off by using her sunglasses instead.

In true Polly Gray style, the actor stole the show, managing to not buckle under the pressure or have a massive panic attack, as I know I would have done.

In the clip, McCrory, standing at the podium ready to announce the nominees, says: "Erm, it's always an honour to present this evening, which is why you'd think I'd remember my right glasses, but I haven't, ladies and gentlemen."

As chuckles ripple through the audience, McCrory - ever the pro - swiftly pulls out her sunglasses and puts them on.

Not missing a beat, she says: "So excuse me while I read the auto-cue. It is hard to imagine a field stronger than the leading actor category this year."

"She died as she lived. Fearlessly.

"Rest in peace."
