Boris Johnson Compares Himself To OJ Simpson While Struggling To Put Gloves On

'I've got it, I've got it, I've got it ... it's like OJ Simpson'

Boris Johnson was caught on camera comparing himself to OJ Simpson while struggling to put on a pair of latex gloves.

Johnson had been visiting a mass vaccination centre in Cwmbran, south Wales, when he was given a pair of disposable gloves to pop on.

Appearing in front of press with health worker Wendy Warren, he was reportedly offered a larger size to try, but eventually managed to succeed with the original pair - in turn cracking a joke that referenced Simpson's infamous 1995 murder case.

A microphone managed to pick up the conversation between the Johnson and Warren, with the Prime Minister heard saying as he got the glove on: "I've got it, I've got it, I've got it... it's like OJ Simpson."

The unusual quip was a reference to the pair of gloves that played an integral role in OJ Simpson's murder trial after he was accused of killing two people, including former wife Nicole Brown Simpson.

The prosecution had produced a pair of blood-stained gloves found at the crime scene, saying they belonged to him.

However, Simpson struggled to put the gloves on - prompting Simpson's attorney Johnnie Cochran to remark: "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit."

The video of the exchange between Johnson and Warren at Cwmbran Stadium was shared online, including by ITV News, which quoted the Prime Minister on Twitter, adding: "@BorisJohnson struggles to get on a pair of rubber gloves while at a mass #Covid vaccination centre in Cwmbran, south Wales."

Responding to the footage, one person tweeted: "What mindset would come up with OJ Simpson as a joke?"

Someone else said: "Watching the news & [seeing] @BorisJohnson try on his gloves at the vaccine centre & he actually compared it to OJ SIMPSON trying on the gloves at his murder trial? REALLY BORIS? seriously? [You're] making that comparison? What the? & this is our prime minister?"

A third added: "F***ing hell Boris Johnson couldn't get his glove on and said 'OJ Simpson'. Jesus."
