Two boys have been arrested following a shocking YouTube video that went viral showing bike yobs storming the aisles in Asda.

The group filmed themselves rampaging the supermarket in Brighton, East Sussex, terrorising families - including punching a man and struggling with an elderly lady.

Sussex Police have now confirmed that two boys - aged 12 and 19 - have been arrested following reports of threats being made by youths at the Brighton Marina supermarket on the afternoon of 23 June.

Officers went to an address in Greenwich, South East London, and arrested the pair on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. The 19-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of threatening behaviour and dangerous cycling.

The GBH allegation relates to an incident in which a passer by fell and sustained a broken wrist and broken rib in a confrontation with youths from the gang.

Superintendent Julia Pope said: "We have made it very clear that we will not tolerate this type of behaviour. We have been working tirelessly to track down this group, with the assistance of the Metropolitan Police. Our investigation is continuing and we hope to make further arrests.

"We are keen to encourage any victims or witnesses, who may have been in the area of the Asda store at Brighton Marina around 4.30pm on 23 June, to contact us. If you can assist in our investigation in any way, please report it online or call 101, quoting serial 924 of 23/06."

The video shows the yobs cycling around the supermarket, knocking items over and narrowly missing shoppers.

In retaliation, a member of the public shouts: "They don't even care," with one of the youths responding by standing up to cycle and laughing.

One of the boys can then be seen grappling with an old woman who has grabbed hold of him. His fellow bikers tell her to 'get off him, get off him', before he breaks free and they all continue to cycle.

Just days ago a man was captured doing a wheelie on his bike down a busy road before crashing into a Mercedes... and then blaming the driver.

The video shows the cyclist riding down a road before pulling out in front of a Mercedes car that is trying to get past a lorry before smashing into it and beating the bonnet.

The young man, who is wearing earphones at the time of the crash, screams at the driver of the car, who has stepped from the car to confront him.

The camera then switches to a shot of the bike, the front wheel of which has been run over by the Mercedes, and another voice can be heard shouting: "Yo! Move the car back, bruv. Move the car back! Look what you've done. Move it back a little bit!"

He then removes the bike from under the car and rides off, in doing so calling the driver a 'stupid driver' and an 'idiot'. Ouch.
