The devastated parents of brave little Bradley Lowery have shared the tragic news that his condition is terminal.

Five-year-old Bradley has been battling neuroblastoma for the second time in his short life and, sadly, following recent scans, his parents have been told his condition has worsened.

Parents Gemma and Carl were trying to raise £700,000 to get treatment in the US and donations flooded in, including £200,000 from Everton FC after little Bradley was mascot at Sunderland versus Everton last month.

Writing on the Bradley Lowery's Fight blog, his mum said: "I'm devastated to let you all know that his cancer has continued to grow. We have had a meeting with Bradley's consultant and he has given us three options but all three options only give us time with Bradley."

Now his parents have to make the difficult decision between risking losing Bradley through further treatment, with no guarantee of prolonging his life, or stopping treatment and letting him come home.

Gemma added that, sadly, whichever option they choose the outcome will be the same - Bradley will lose his fight.
