Everyone has been pretty worried about Peter Kay recently. He recently cancelled a huge UK tour just weeks after announcing that he would be performing new dates.

The much-loved comedian said that the cancellation of the tour was for 'unforeseen family circumstances'.

However, we are glad to let you know that a tweet from his account came out this morning announcing a charity screening of his BBC show Car Share.

It's not clear whether Bolton's favourite comic will be present at this show because that's literally all we have to go on, it's just good to know he's OK.

The statement released when he cancelled the tour read: "Due to unforeseen family circumstances, I deeply regret that I am having to cancel all of my upcoming work projects.

"This unfortunately includes my upcoming stand-up tour, Dance for Life shows and any outstanding live work commitments.

"My sincerest apologies. This decision has not been taken lightly and I'm sure you'll understand my family must always come first.

"I've always endeavoured to protect my family's privacy from the media. I hope that the media and public will continue to respect our privacy at this time. Once again, I'm very sorry."

All tickets were fully refunded, so nobody was left out of pocket.

However, in an interview on the Jonathan Ross show before he cancelled the gigs revealed that there may be other reasons behind his reluctance to take to the stage.

He spoke with Ross about his fear of the stage and even claimed that he may never tour again.

He said: "I do like it but it's terrifying, standing there on stage in front of 14,000 people and try and make 'em laugh. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should."

"I like it, but once in a blue moon. I should have called the tour that, Once In A Blue Moon. I don't think I'll do another after this, I'm getting on now."

Whatever the reason is, hopefully he's OK.
