Sixteen-year-old Leonne Weeks was tragically stabbed to death 28 times by Shea Heeley who then attempted to hide her body under a fly-tipped sofa. Her father, Darren Weeks, has branded her killer as 'evil' after he apparently smirked at him in court.

It didn't take long for Mr Weeks to take to social media to berate Heeley, following the confession that he killed Leonne in January 2017 on a quiet footpath.

After hearing 19-year-old Shea plead guilty to his daughters murder, the grieving father promptly left Sheffield Crown Court.

Despite the fact that Shea probably won't to have access to social media for quite a while, Darran went online to post a stark warning to Heeley on Facebook which read: "He is going to get what's coming to him, I promise you that."

Leonne's body had been found by a member of the public slumped underneath a disused sofa in Dinnington, South Yorks.

Heeley, who even paid tribute to Leonne on a Facebook shrine to the youngster saying 'RIP Leonne', was arrested days after the grim discovery.

But now the killer is to expect revenge over the killing following a Facebook rant by the victim's father.

Darran wrote: "The horrible evil ******* thought it was alright to smirk at me, no remorse at all, but I will have my day and I hope everyone that's supporting him starts running and holds their heads in shame cos they're as bad as him.

"I hope one day I can get my hands on him - he stabbed my daughter to death, she was 16 years old.

"He is a scumbag and he is going to get what's coming to him, I promise you that.

"I wish I could have five minutes with him, but my day will come one day."

Heeley was told by Judge Paul Watson, QC, to expect to be jailed 'for a very long time indeed' when he is sentenced next month.
