Live TV has a lot of potential to go horribly wrong but, sadly, it very rarely does. Each week there's just hour after hour of flawless news broadcasts and studio audiences behaving themselves.

So, it makes it even better when something does go wrong. Remember Robert Kelly, the Korea expert whose interview with the BBC went awry after his toddler burst in? Such good telly.

The latest broadcaster to fall foul of the dangerous mix of small children and live TV is Alastair Stewart, who found himself completely upstaged by an sneaky toddler called Iris.

Iris was appearing on ITV News alongside her brother, George, and her mum, Lucy Wronka, who was speaking about new guidelines for testing for milk allergies in babies. Sounds like a pretty important topic but Iris didn't care.

She ran around, climbed on the desk, jumped up and down and then high-fived Alastair. Probably congratulating him on a job well done.

People just loved it, didn't they?

Fair play to Alastair, he handled that entire situation like a champ.
