The Greggs Festive Bake is a pretty legendary thing. It's one of the first things you buy each year to feel Christmassy. It's what you chow down on when you're hauling your hungover arse into work after the Christmas party. It's the perfect pastry.
And now, you can achieve that perfect taste at home, as Greggs have bottled up one of the most crucial ingredients, ready to dish out to true fans of the bake.
That very specific ingredient is the 'crunchy crumb' that's sprinkled on top of the Festive Bake, which, as you all know, is a lattice pastry slice filled with chicken, sage and onion stuffing, bacon and cranberry all mixed up in a creamy cranberry and sage white sauce. The Rolls Royce of the festive food world, if you will - and the best £1.50 ($2) you'll ever spend.

Now you can re-create it at home with the one ingredient you didn't know was so vital - because when you think about it, you don't know exactly what that crumb involves... but you do know it tastes fucking banging.

But this one's not just being dished out to just anyone. You've got to earn this shit.
There are only 500 bottles of the stuff up for grabs, so to apply, you have to tweet Greggs or head to one of four participating stores (3 Beast Market Hill in Nottingham, 54 New George Street in Plymouth, 34 Queen Street in Cardiff and the Waverley Mall Shopping Centre in Edinburgh) on Wednesday 20 December from 10am.
They'll be free for anyone quick enough, but we're pretty sure those few hundred bottles won't be around for long.

A Greggs spokesperson said: "Festive Bake fans ask us all year round when they can get their hands on them, so we're giving customers the chance to enjoy the classic taste whenever they want and on whatever they want.
"Festive Bake Sprinkles are perfect sprinkled on foods like roast potatoes and turkey, and are a delicious way to jazz up soggy sprouts."

Considering the Festive Bake is only around at this time of year, this delicious sprinkling might be just what you need to make it feel like Christmas every day. To be honest, though, we expect it'll take pretty much anything taste good - whether that's a pizza, pasta bake, a great big pie or something else equally as deliciously savoury.
And don't worry, if you can't get hold of a bottle, you've still got until 27 December to stock-pile Festive Bakes.
