Tesco Has Temporarily Slashed The Price of Baileys By 40%

The British supermarket has announced a discount on one-litre bottles of the delicious Irish cream until Valentine's Day or stocks run out.

A few of you may still have a bottle or two of Baileys left over in the cabinet from the Christmas period - though that's if your family had the restraint not to neck the lot over the festive fortnight, which is unlikely.

Well, if you freaking love Baileys, you'll be delighted to know that supermarket giant Tesco has a belting offer for you, as they're slashing the price of the delicious Irish cream by a whopping 40%.

The offer applies to one-litre bottles of Baileys in various flavours and applies until Wednesday 14 February, or until their stock is completely cleared out. Not a bad offer to have to help you prepare for Valentine's Day, is it?

According to Money Saving Expert, the offer means that a one-litre bottle of Baileys will now set you back just £12 ($17) instead of the normal £20 ($28.25) - given how much joy that will bring you, it seems like a very good deal.

Tesco's offer applies to the original flavour of Baileys, as well as the orange truffle or coffee flavours if you're looking to have a sweeter sesh in the evening. Of course, if you can't choose, you could just be dead fancy and just buy all three - not exactly a bad thing to have sitting in the cupboard, is it?

Perhaps wisely, the bottles are limited to six bottles per person, so sadly there's no chance of stocking up and having a good old Irish lock-in like the one Saorise Ronan describes here:

However, six bottles of the glorious stuff is still more than enough for you to fill your boots, and the offer is available in all Tesco stores including Superstores, Express and Metro shops so you should be able to get some at the nearest place to you.

You might remember that the supermarkets had a lot of fun discounting Baileys this past Christmas, with Tesco reducing bottles down to £12 and other supermarkets selling it for as low as £10. That's a bargain and a half, that.

The next best-priced deals Money Saving Expert has found are £15 a bottle at Morrisons and Sainsburys, so you should probably leg it and make the most of the deal sharpish while you still have the chance.

It's still bloody nippy outside, so go get some Baileys, stick the telly on and stay toasty under a good blanket. Spring will be here soon enough, but in the meantime, there's booze.
