It's always nice to give your significant other a surprise, whether that's a romantic weekend away or some expensive jewellery. But very few would erect a huge T-Rex in their back garden.
Well, that's exactly what Adrian Shaw, from Lillington, Warwickshire, decided to do for his wife, Deborah, this week after she asked him to make the garden look nice.
Residents watched on as the 3.5-metre model was lifted into their garden ready for Deborah's return from work.
Speaking the Leamington Spa Courier about the plan, Adrian said: "This project is a result of my wife's request to make the garden 'look nice'.

"I thought nothing could possibly look nicer in the garden than a 3.5 metre replica of a rampaging T-Rex, so I bought one.
"I guess that it is most people's dream to own a 3.5 metre replica of a rampaging T-Rex but they don't have the space or resources to do this.
"I have been very fortunate to be able to realise the dream."

He added: "I imagine my wife will be delighted when she sees what I have done with the garden when she gets home from work.
"She loves the Jurassic Park films and watches all the David Attenborough documentaries, so I couldn't go wrong with the purchase really."
But his surprise was scuppered, because Deborah had gone to a gym session and when she returned home it was too dark to see the Tyrannosaurus lurking in the garden.
It wasn't until the next morning when she took their dog out for a morning piddle that she saw it in all its glory.

And sadly for Adrian, it didn't go down quite as well as he had hoped.
He said: "The dog woke her up at 4am to take him out into the garden for a wee.
"Whilst I slept soundly she lead the dog downstairs, opened the back door for him and then put the powerful garden security light on.
"She recounted the experience to me in what can only be described as 'colourful terms' this morning, it didn't sound very pleasant."

But while Deborah might not have been as complimentary as he had expected, the dad-of-two says he's confident she'll come round, eventually, and he's even given the big fella a name, Dave.
Adrian added: "Both the kids are begging and pleading to allow Dave to stay, which is a bit sad because they are both well into their twenties.
"The wife will start to appreciate Dave's magnificence over the weekend."
