The criminal hurt his feet after jumping out of the window and trying to run away, so the officer had to carry him.

A Wrexham officer was left in hysterics while a drug dealer was carried down the street in just his underwear.

When 18-year-old Rhys Williams tried to evade arrest, the officer picked the teen dealer up and hauled him over his shoulder after he complained of having sore feet.

Williams was part of a drug-dealing gang and of ten members who were jailed, this week, for running a drug ring that attracted 'queues like Tesco' it was said in court.

The gang were jailed for a total of 31 years and eight months after they admitted to conspiring to supply class A drugs at Mold Crown Court.

Police only managed to start an investigation on the dealing ring after one member of the gang was skilled enough to turn up at the police station with thousands of pounds worth of drugs stored in the boot of his car.

Over four weeks, the police monitored the actions of the gang and noticed they were earning up to £4,000 per day as they sold cocaine and heroin to people queuing on the other side of a garden fence.

During a raid back in August, officers managed to seize £18,000 worth of class A drugs - £13,000 worth of cocaine and £5,000 worth of heroin.

Williams was attempting to run from the August police raid when he was caught, wearing only his underwear.

Detective Inspector Mark Hughes, of North Wales Police, said afterwards: "It was like going to Tesco. There were people queuing up every day outside the address to pick drugs up. On the day of the road, about £18,000 worth of drugs was seized, wraps of heroin and cocaine."

The man believed to be the 'kingpin' of the drug-dealing Welsh gang was 24-year-old Tyrone Edwards, who was one of the men arrested during the raids. Edwards has now been jailed for six years and eight months - one of the largest sentences of all the gang members.

Chief Inspector Mark Williams added: "The nature of the way these drugs were being dealt was through a 'County Line' and we had to follow the phone around. We have now increased our offer of substance misuse services to people so they have a chance, an opportunity to take the right path.

"There will be individuals who are in debt to organised crime groups so it is important to ensure we don't walk away and leave them to fend for themselves."
