A man who was caught using image-editing software to try and get out of paying a speeding fine has been jailed.
Twenty-three-year old Jordan Notley, a delivery driver, was charged with two counts of perverting the course of justice and was sentenced at Carlise Crown Court where he pled guilty after his attempts at editing the images were uncovered.
He was first clocked by speed cameras in December 2016 while in a VW van in Cumbria. After being sent a ticket, he replied to the Ticket Office to tell them that it couldn't have been him or his van, as it was off the road at the time of the offence. He included what later turned out to be a doctored image with his letter.

A second offence in April 2017, also in Cumbria, saw him slapped with a second speeding ticket. Notley once again claimed the van was off the road and sent in a second image, featuring a van with a different grille.
However, his attempts at blagging his way out of the fine were quickly spotted and he was hauled up in court, where his Photoshop fail landed him six months in jail.
Inspector Steve Minnikin, from Cumbia, told the Mirror: "This case and subsequent period of imprisonment is reflective of certain members of society not willing to accept their responsibilities and engaging in what is nothing short of a criminal activity to cover their tracks.
"What may have been seen as an easy option in the past or something people just do like an exaggerated house insurance claim is simply not true anymore.

"It is form of fraud and a criminal offence and all for trying to dodge in some cases a relatively minor speeding or other road traffic offence.
"We have experienced and specialised officers who robustly investigate and bring these offenders to justice.
"The message is simple - don't do it.
"We will find you out and you can answer to the criminal justice system for a far more serious offence, which may ultimately cost you your job or livelihood.

"Nobody wants to see that happen."
The judge told Notley: "The rules of the road apply to everybody. You are not excluded from that group."
