Man Posts Dog Poo Through Neighbour's Door After They Failed To Pick It Up

Man Posts Dog Poo Through Neighbour's Door After They Failed To Pick It Up

The man recorded himself posting the dog mess, claiming he was teaching his neighbour a lesson

If your neighbour left their wallet, phone or keys in a communal garden, the nice thing to do would be to post it back through their letter box. However, this logic does not apply to dog shit.

But Mike Haddon wasn't interested in being nice to his neighbour, who he claims repeatedly failed to pick up his dog's turds after allowing it to crap on the communal lawn.

Quite literally taking matters into his own hands, Mr Haddon, 35, filmed himself collecting four piles of dog poo from the communal garden in Southampton, UK, before posting it through the offending neighbour's letter box.

In the video, Mr Haddon says: "Right, this is the fucking animal that we currently have to fucking share with the block of flats that we live in."

As he gathers a fistful of faeces, the highway maintenance worker can be heard muttering: "Dirty bastard, I'm doing him a favour."

Mr Haddon then walks up to the house and pushes the shit through the flap, saying: "I don't know how many times people need to be told - if you don't pick your dog shit up, I'll fucking put it through your letter box.

"So lesson learned - pick your dog shit up or it goes through your fucking letterbox."

The vigilante - who owns a French Mastiff called Lola - said he sent the brown-mail following an ongoing feud with the neighbour.

Reflecting on the situation, Mr Haddon said: "It's been going on for a while with a particular neighbour of mine.

"My fear is the council might ask folk to give up their animals if this continues.

"It's not fair - genuine people, good dog owners could lose their dogs. If you've got a dog you've got to be responsible for it."

Mr Haddon added that he took no pleasure in making the special delivery and was purely acting in defence of his own dog.

He added: "What I done was justified. It doesn't make me feel good but if I get my dog taken away through that man's actions, I'll be devastated."

The day after Mr Haddon posted the video, he received a letter from the council which read: "Having conducted a visit to the block recently I noticed that there was dog excrement, some in bags which has not been picked up and disposed of in the correct manner.

"Please may I remind those of you who own a dog, that they should be kept on a lead at all times and should not be allowed to use any of the communal grassed areas around the blocks, especially as their own private toilet area.

"Failure to comply to this request will take tenancy breach actions with those individuals who are not taking full responsibility of their pet and the outcome would result in you being asked to remove the dog from the premises."

Sounds like that neighbour might want to tape over his letter box. Or just start picking up his dog's shit, alternatively.
