The man whose personal trainer had him banned from all his favourite local takeaways in a bid to help his weight loss has appeared on This Morning to update us all on how things are going - and it's great news.

Phillip Schofield announced Dibsy would be joining him and Holly Willoughby on the ITV daytime show's sofa, saying: "He was the 40st man banned from takeaways - Dibsy's back with some incredible news about his health."

And it turned out that news really was as incredible as Schofe promised, as Dibsy revealed he has now managed to lose more than 13st.

Dibsy - whose real name is Darren McClintock - appeared on the show looking healthier than ever alongside his trainer, Mike Hind, who toured all of his regular fast-food stops towards the end of last year with a flyer that said: "Save Dibsy. Obesity is Killing Him. Do Not Serve This Man."

The flyer Mike sent out.

The brutal message proved effective, as when 28-year-old Dibsy appeared on This Morning back in January, we found out he'd lost a whopping 10st in less than four months. He'd even dropped a stone in the first week of his new diet and exercise regime.

But he's not stopped there. He has now gone on to drop more weight, taking his total weight loss to an extremely impressive 13st 2lb.

"I'm currently 27st 1lb," Dibsy told Phil and Holly. "I've lost 13st 2lb."

Dibsy had been given the terrifying ultimatum that he would die if he didn't slim down, which was when trainer Mike stepped in with some much-needed drastic measures.

"I can fit in the bath now - I get a bath every night," Dibsy said. "I had to get a mini hot tub and blow it up to get washed."

Mike, who has been with Dibsy the whole way, said the journey had been quite an emotional one.

He said: "Twenty stone is still too big for him, but there will be a lot of excess skin which will weigh around three to four stone, so we will have to look at that, that is the next chapter."

Everyone at This Morning was clearly over the moon to hear about his progress, tweeting: "We've been closely following his progress and are thrilled to say that Dibsy has now lost an incredible 13 stone!"

Others were equally as impressed, with one person tweeting: "Amazing achievement, amazing trainer, I cried watching, well done for all the hard work it's paying off."

Another wrote: "Well done Dibsy! I know how difficult weight loss is and you have an amazing trainer in Mike."

Someone else commented: "Incredible achievement, keep going and well done Mike you're definitely a hero!!"

A third added: "You look so happy Dibsy. What an achievement."

Mike, 25, replied to the This Morning crew and viewers: "Thanks guys. The support and love means the world and helps more than you could ever know.. you guys are my team helping me make a difference to Dibsy and many others."

Earlier today, Mike had also teased Dibsy's appearance on the show when he shared a short clip of them together in the This Morning green room, looking all smiles.

Way to go, fella!
