Ryanair have landed themselves properly in the shit this week.

The budget airline, headed by Michael O'Leary, has announced it is to cancel 40-50 flights every day for the next six weeks after they 'messed-up' on pilot holidays.

The proposed cancellations could affect up to 400,000 passengers - all of whom will be offered refunds or alternative flights.

Now, in a published list of flights, Ryanair have released exactly what trips won't go ahead, although O'Leary believes that many passengers will still be able to fly on the same day.

He added that the decision to cancel these flights was to minimise disruption, and that passengers will not be placed on other flights with a different airline.

O'Leary says the option was taken to disrupt the plans of 2 percent of travellers in order to offer a better service to the remaining customers.

The company has switched from an April-March calendar to a January-December, and the crew have a load of leave which must be handed out before the end of the year.

So... brace yourselves. Here is every flight they plan on cancelling.

Tuesday, September 19.

Wednesday, September 20.

Flights on September 22, 23 or 24 have not been updated yet, but you can check their website here.

Then from Monday, September 25 through to Saturday, October 28, it's all here.

Pilot poaching is also being blamed. The Guardian have reported that Norwegian Airlines stated: "We can confirm that 140 pilots have joined Norwegian from Ryanair this year. Pilot recruitment is also under way for more pilots for our new Dublin base opening later this year."
