A fundraising page has been started to help raise money for the legal costs of a 78-year-old man who stabbed a burglar to death with a screwdriver.
Richard Osborn-Brooks was arrested on suspicion of murder after he allegedly faced down two burglars who broke into his house in South East London on Wednesday morning.
It is thought he got into a scuffle with Henry Vincent - one of the suspected burglars - reportedly taking a screwdriver from him and stabbing him during a struggle.

Vincent, 37, died from his injuries shortly after. The suspected burglar was the subject of an investigation into another burglary by Kent Police earlier this year.
Osborn-Brooks was bailed this afternoon until May.
The page to support Osborn-Brooks was set up earlier today and so far has raised over £5,000 of a £3,000 goal.

It's GoFundMe statement reads: "I can't begin to imagine what he must be feeling right now having gone through this and how worried he must be about his wife whilst being held in custody.
The fundraising page continues: "I don't know Richard personally but he lives local to where I grew up (and indeed where my parents still live).
"His story hit a nerve with me as I have been burgled myself (thankfully I was out) and in recent months I have known two families who have been targeted locally.

"The spate of burglaries in the area is becoming a concern for many.
"I just want to help a 78-year-old man by raising money for him to either put towards his legal fees (if needed) or to put towards making his home more secure for him and his disabled wife or so they can have a little something to know the community are thinking of them."
The second suspect involved in the burglary fled the scene and is still being hunted by the police.
