Lock Away Your Sun Cream Because Snow Is Making A Comeback

Lock Away Your Sun Cream Because Snow Is Making A Comeback

Bloody typical.

This is probably THE last thing you're going to expect to read tonight.

Apparently more snow is on it's way to the UK and just as we were thinking it was getting good.

It's almost like the weather's trying to tease us and we're well and truly falling for it.

So just as the factor 20 was creeping out along with the sunnies - put them back in the cupboard now.

Unless you're planning on booking a sneaky getaway.

Despite being well into spring, the weather is set to take an almighty back step following the record-breaking heatwave.

It lasted what, three days?

By the middle of next week temperatures are set to tumble, with risk of frost and wintry showers as cooler air heads towards the UK, according to The Mirror.

It's claimed that temperatures could drop as low as -2 or -3C in parts of Scotland.

The threat of snow is possible across parts of Scotland, Wales, and northern England, forecasters say.

It will be a big contrast from this week's gorgeous warm and sunny weather which left Brit's topless, racing for the beer garden.

Is there anything more British?

Yesterday was the hottest April day for 69 years. We're sure you won't need us to remind you. It was glorious everywhere.

Yesterday, temperatures in London reached 28.8C which, for April, is absolutely fantastic.

For any time of the year to be perfectly honest.

It was the hottest April day in the UK since 1949, when it hit 29.4C. Usually, at this time of year, the temperatures are around 11-12C.

But sadly, it's set to be short-lived as yet more snowfall, that we were happy to see the back of, heads closer.

Leon Brown, chief forecaster at The Weather Channel, said: "It will be quite a lot colder from
the middle of next week for the west and northwest.

"Gardeners should beware ground frosts later next week.

"We may see air frosts by the end of next week too with temperatures -2 or -3C in Scotland.

"Showers will be wintry over higher ground with models for Wednesday evening indicating a slight covering of snow over the higher parts of the UK from Wales northwards and especially Scottish Highlands - typically above 300 to 400m."

And just to give us a good old entrance, heavy downpours and thunderstorms are set to hit the country over the weekend, with the heaviest falls expected Saturday afternoon and overnight.

Get the wellies and brollies back out guys, it was never here for the long run.
