It looks like we haven't seen the last of the bad weather in the UK, with flood warnings now in place for a number of areas and winds of up to 60mph forecast. Wonderful.

If all that isn't enough to make you want to hibernate, there's also snow expected to return to parts of the country tomorrow, causing disruption to travel.

Residents in the West Country have been warned they could be hit with the equivalent of a month's worth of rain - two inches - in just a few hours.

There are also yellow weather warnings in place until tomorrow at 12pm for heavy rain in Northern Ireland and the south-west of England. Trains services have already been disrupted, with commuters warned there could be more delays to services which use the section of track at Dawlish, Devon, because it's near to the sea wall, the Sun reports.

Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, could also see two inches of rain and strong gales.

The Met Office said: "Rain, heavy at times, developing on Wednesday morning becomes heavier and more widespread during the afternoon before clearing northeastwards during Wednesday night.

"Bus and train services will probably be affected with journey times taking longer whilst spray and flooding on roads may also affect some journeys.

"Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely."

The good news is, if you don't live in any of those areas you might be looking at a mild couple of days and you can start dreaming that spring might be finally on its way.

However, don't get used to it because according to forecasts most of the UK will be hit with a cold snap from Friday to Sunday, just in time to ruin your weekend.

There could even be a reappearance of snow in the north east and Scotland. Great news.
