UK supermarket chain Tesco have sent an urgent warning out to all Clubcard holders.

Known for their numerous Clubcard deals, and their end of day yellow label bargains, Tesco is one of the go to choices for Brit shoppers.

Having a Clubcard at Tesco is almost a no-brainer for the cheaper meal deals alone, but to miss out on any opportunity gathering all those points give you would just be daft.

A few weekly shops at the supermarket chain could get you enough points to get a discount on your next shop, to pay for fuel, or to use at selected restaurants.

How a Clubcard works is for every £1 spent in-store or online, you get one point when you scan the card.

One point equals 1p, with the smallest voucher available being £1.50 and needing 150 points to be redeemed. However, these vouchers can be doubled and used at reward partners as well as Tesco.

Despite over 20 million Brits being in possession of the magical (sometimes virtual) blue card, Tesco has had to send out reminders to holders to actually use their points.

A reminder was last sent out in the weeks before Christmas, urging people to use their points on Christmas shops.

This month though, Tesco have urged users to spend their rewards, with shoppers accumulating a total of £18 million in unused Clubcard points.

These deals are set to expire on 29 February, after these specific Clubcard vouchers were first issued in February 2022.

Not to fear though, as on 5 February over £125 million of new Clubcard deals will be introduced to us eager shoppers.

Vouchers are issued every three months in February, May, August and November, and are then valid for two years.

Card holders also benefit from Clubcard prices on 8,000 everyday products, which save the average shopper £351 on their annual shopping, according to Tesco.

That's a good chunk of money you wouldn't want to miss out on benefitting from.

Tesco Group customer director, Emma Bolton, said: "Household budgets are still under pressure, and we want to help them stretch further.

"Tesco Clubcard continues to be the best way to get great value, and with more than £18m worth of vouchers due to expire at the end of the month, we’re reminding customers to spend them now."

Don't worry if you've been slacking on redeeming your Clubcard points though, as you've got a month to get all your vouchers in place.

There's even time to build your points up before the next round of deals.
