Storm Emma and the Beast from the East have caused havoc across the UK but the wintry weather looks to have caught out a few drug dealers big time.

Police have seized a cannabis farm worth £80,000 ($110,000) after they spotted a suspicious-looking house with no snow on its roof at all despite this week's snow storms - because of the heat given off from the grow lights.

The property, in the West Yorkshire town of Keighley, was revealed to have 322 cannabis plants growing in all four of its bedrooms as well as in its cellar after the cops investigated reports of a weed-like stench outside. Oops.

The find was shared by PC Caroline Foster of West Yorkshire Police who took pleasure in shaming the hapless drug farmers for their poor weather planning. Bit worse than heading out and forgetting your hat and gloves.

"Whilst the snow has kept the burglars at bay it has also helped us in finding some rather large plants," PC Foster tweeted, adding photos of the plants.

'Hmmm, I wonder why there is no snow on your roof? 280+ plants seized from an address in Keighley today, some nearly 6ft tall."

The haul.

Her colleague, PC James Butterfield, even shared a photo of himself with one of the cannabis plants, wagging his finger disapprovingly as if to say 'Naughty, naughty'.

He added that his size 10 boots came in handy when it came to busting down the door of the house.

"Removing this filth from the streets is always great," PC Butterfield tweeted. "Knowing that the morons responsible for it are £80k out of pocket is a Bruceybonus! #didntwedowell."

The cops' haul has been praised by neighbours of the house who said they saw the find a mile off.

"Over the last few days the smell has got pretty strong and after the snow kept thawing on their roof, you just knew they were growing cannabis," one neighbour told the Daily Mail.

"Well done for the police turning out on such a freezing cold day to take those drugs off the streets. Now those cannabis farmers have lost their crop I dread to think how they are going to afford their leccy [electricity] bill."

HAVE A LOOK INSIDE BRITAIN'S FIRST 'LEGAL' CANNABIS CLUB:

West Yorkshire Police have said that no-one was in the property at the time they made the raid, and no arrests have yet been made in connection to the farm.

Cops are now working to confiscate the plants which will be properly examined and judged for their value.

If the culprits are currently out snowed in the winter traffic, they're probably wishing they can stay there at the moment.
