Prince Harry has paid an emotional visit to Lesotho in southern Africa to open a community hall and spend some time with the locals on behalf of the charity he set up, which is called Sentebale.

Thirty-three-year-old Harry arrived to open the Phelisanong Children Centre yesterday and in a bunch of snaps shared on social media, he looked like he was having a pretty fun time.

Kind-hearted Harry looked to be enjoying getting to know the locals on the 'private visit'.

The newly-titled Duke of Sussex was accompanied by his pal and Sentebale ambassador Adam Bidwell; his new missus Meghan Markle didn't join them.

The charity, which was set up in 2006 by Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, works with children who have AIDs or are HIV positive. The name translates to 'forget me not' and, according to its mission statement, aims to become 'the leading organisation in the provision of psychosocial support for children living with HIV in Southern Africa'.

The charity runs clubs and camps for children with HIV or AIDs, providing them with 'essential life skills' and support. It also runs HIV testing facility and prevention services.

The Sentebale website reads: "We help the most vulnerable children in Lesotho and Botswana get the support they need to lead healthy and productive lives.

"Sentebale works with local grassroots organisations to help these children - the victims of extreme poverty and the HIV/AIDS epidemic."

In 2004, before the charity was set up, Harry spent two months in Lesotho learning about he struggles its people face.

While there he struck up a close friendship with a four-year-old boy called Mutsu Potsane, now Mutsu works as an ambassador of Sentebale. The pair had an emotional reunion back in 2016 and, more recently, Mutsu was invited to Harry's wedding to Meghan.

Prince Seeiso and Princess Mabereng were also invited to the big day. Speaking at the time, Seeiso said: "The young Harry who first arrived in Lesotho in 2004 is now a grown man getting married.

"I've come here with all the wishes of Lesotho. I'm not here on my own behalf, I'm here representing the entire nation who are so happy."
