Online dating is a minefield - how much are you meant to divulge to a stranger before you've even met them?

And when you finally get a date, what if the two of you have absolutely nothing in common? Another wasted Friday night - and then you're back on the bus home, swiping once more through an endless list of suitors.

Well, however badly your love life is going, it probably pales into insignificance compared to the trail of misfortune of one unlucky student who has had 40 'atrocious' dates in the past nine months.

So in a change of tactic, Natalie Palmer has created a Tinder presentation called 'Why you should swipe me', in the hope it will lead her to her Romeo.

In a brutally honest list of pros and cons, she has created five slides revealing she's 'obsessed' about pizza, is obsessively house proud, and has no problem with rocking a face mask by date number five.

Natalie said she took the drastic decision after enduring 40 'atrocious' dates.

The 23-year-old said she was forced to take drastic action after being sick of always going home alone.

Natalie, from Caerphilly, South Wales, said: "I'm 2019's Bridget Jones because I always end up going home alone.

"I've done about 40 dates in nine months - they've all been atrocious.

"I was just lying in bed looking through my phone and wanted to do something creative with my profile as I'd not been getting matches.

The 23-year-old was brutally honest in her Tinder presentation.

"It took me over an hour thinking of pros and cons, getting the photos and putting it all together as I couldn't stop laughing."

Listed first in her bio were positive traits that Natalie hoped bachelors would find attractive, in a bid to capture their attention before moving onto the cons.

Natalie said: "I've got a thing about hoovering twice a day and mopping - I'm really house proud - that's wife material.

She said she will be wearing a face mask by date five.

"It's nice to walk into a nice fresh-smelling house and just be happy about it. It's also a sense of stress relief for me, I just get the hoover out and within five minutes I've calmed myself down."

But in an effort to big herself up and move away from the lazy student stereotype, she has also listed past employment experience, to show off her strong work ethic.

Unlucky-in-love Natalie then revealed that she loves pizza and hiking, and doesn't own her own home.

And in a heartbreaking admission, she said: "I like being cuddled and have been dumped twice for being too affectionate."

Natalie got very creative in order to get her dream man.

The penultimate slide shows what she has called the 'reality' of dating her, including a picture of her wearing a charcoal face mask, with a red wine emoji over her outstretched hand.

And in the final slide shows Natalie's head superimposed onto the now infamous picture of Susan Boyle wearing her dressing gown and waving to the cameras.

Natalie said: "That's me waving them off to work in the morning. I don't have an actual photo of me doing that so I had to improvise.

"Hopefully this presentation gets me the man of my dreams."

And it seems her quirky approach has done the trick, with a whole host of potential lovers getting in touch since she posted it on Sunday.

One person wrote: "The most interesting Tinder profile I've ever seen."

Another said: "Your photo stream is brilliant lol... how are ya?"

"I think it was the fourth picture with the face mask that did it for me," wrote a third.

Can't fault her for innovation. Good luck!
