Residents in Hither Green have blocked the road to stop the funeral procession of Henry Vincent passing the house where he was stabbed, it's been reported.
According to the Mirror Online, the route for the funeral wasn't planned to pass the house of pensioner Richard Osborn-Brooks. However, local residents are still blocking the road after rumours spread that the mourners will go past the spot where Vincent died.
Vincent, who was part of the Travelling community, is reported to have been promised the 'funeral of all funerals', with the cost running to £100,000, according to the Mirror.
One resident who parked his car across a junction in the area at 9.30am told the paper he was there to block the procession.
He said: "We believe [the funeral's] scheduled to happen between 1.30pm and 2.30pm but we plan to have people here all day.
"A local residents group have organised it."
Extra police patrols are taking place in the area.

Last night a police spokesperson told the paper: "We are aware of reports that the procession will pass by South Park Crescent. At this time, our understanding is that the procession is not due to enter Lewisham.
"However, to provide community reassurance, there will be high-visibility patrols in the Hither Green and South Park Crescent area on the day of the funeral.
"It is not unusual for large funeral processions to cause traffic disruption.
"Any impact will be managed by traffic officers, and borough officers will also be deployed at key locations. No road closures have been requested."

This isn't the first time residents have been caught up in battles with the friends and family of Vincent. In the weeks following his death, floral tributes, cards and balloons were tore from the scene by angry residents.
