It's not often that a Netflix original is universally loved by all. Step forward The End Of The F**king World.

Potentially one of the most bingeworthy shows to ever grace our screens, the second series of the show is now officially in production and we cannot wait.

Having confirmed last September that it will be making a return, creators of the show have shared an image of the script on Twitter, giving us living proof that the next series is being worked on as we speak.

For those that missed the memo - TEOTFW is an eight-episode, darkly hilarious coming of age drama that follows the gripping story of two misfit teenagers.

Created by Charlie Covell, who is also working on season two, it will continue to follow the story from the original comic series by graphic novelist Charles Forsman.

Although the show was huge on its release, it almost didn't go ahead. Even Netflix bosses were shocked by it how popular it was.

Netflix's chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, said: "It was astounding how popular it was for us.

"It didn't do great on linear TV in the UK, and we premiered it everywhere and it was hugely popular in every country."

The second series was officially confirmed back in August last year via a tweet from the official TEOTFW Twitter account.

The synopsis for the first series read: "Based on the award-winning graphic novel, adapted by acclaimed newcomer Charlie Covell, the eight-episode first season follows James (Alex Lawther, Black Mirror) and Alyssa (Jessica Barden, Penny Dreadful) - a self-proclaimed psychopath and a foul-mouthed rebel fed-up with her boring life.

"The two embark on a roadtrip to find a better life, and escape the impending doom of adulthood. As their chaotic journey unfolds, it becomes apparent that James and Alyssa have crossed a line and have no choice but to take it as far as they can..."

With the return of familiar faces, season two will also see Murray Ferguson, Ed McDonald, Andy Baker, Dominic Buchanan and Jonathan Entwistle return as executive producers, so we know we can expect more of the same. Just to reiterate, we can't wait.
