This is the shocking moment a group of gardeners ripped up a customer's patio after they allegedly failed to pay more than £7,000 they owed for the work.

A landscaper filmed the moment he ordered his team to destroy a garden in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, that they had recently finished.

The disgruntled workman can be heard telling his men to 'smash it to fucking absolute pieces'.

The group then quickly get to work tearing up the patio, pulling down the garden fences and smashing through the back gate.

In the short clip, the man calls the customer a 'con artist' after they allegedly refused to pay him and others for completed work, saying they had made 'young lads work for money and not paying'.

The gardener can be heard saying: "This is what will happen when you try and have me off with £7,300.

"Smash the whole place to bits, smash it all down. Get the sledges, quick.

"Take it all down, take every bit of it down. Every bit, every bit of it.

"Fences, take the fences off, smash it to bits, every single last little bit of it. Smash it all to bits, it's fine, it's all my stuff.

"Smash it to fucking absolute pieces. Get it all up, that's it - get it all up.

"Did it all mint, full patio, block everywhere. Taking our materials all back, this is what happens - it's exactly what happens."

The irate workman goes on: "I asked her five times to make payment, oh well, no more.

"Plod's here now, oh they're going because they know we're in our rights. All the materials are ours, we're coming back.

"That was the fence that we did for free for out of good will, bye bye fence, bye bye."

The workman then adds toward the end of the video: "Con artist, that's what she is. Making young lads work for money and not paying anyone. Third/fourth people she hasn't paid."

Police were called to the incident but no arrests were made.
