Tyson Fury will make his long awaited comeback to the boxing ring on June 9 in Manchester.

He's signed up with promoter Frank Warren and while his opponent isn't yet known, Fury is reportedly setting his sights on a showdown with Anthony Joshua next year.

The 29-year-old told reporters: "The Mac is back and he's ready to take the world back. A lot of these guys are saying they're the best, but I know for a fact they're not."

The Gypsy King has been in exile from boxing since 2016 when the British Boxing Board of Control banned him after he admitted to taking cocaine. That was imposed after his title win over Wladimir Klitschko the year before.

During that time away from the sport, he splashed his cash and enjoyed the high life. But if you've been watching his social media, Fury has been working hard at the gym to get fit for his upcoming fight.

In January, Fury revealed that he was applying for his boxing licence and aimed his comeback for April.

Frank Warren revealed at Thursday's press conference that he reckons Fury has about three or four fights before he faces off against Joshua for an all-British showdown.

When asked how he'd tackle an opponent like AJ, Fury replied: "I'd outbox him and knock him out. He's not the hardest man to land a punch on and I don't believe he holds a good shot either."

Joshua has said in the past that he'd like to go toe-to-toe with Fury, saying after he beat Joseph Parker: "I want Wilder. Or Fury. Get him [Wilder] in the ring and I'll knock him spark out."
