We all know people who've come back from their holidays with some questionable tattoos. The explanation is usually 'it seemed like a good idea at the time'.

Yeah mate, I'm sure it seemed like a great idea to get that image of a scrotum riding a bucking bronco and waving a stetson etched permanently into your forearm. Long sleeves for all family functions for now though, eh?

One 18-year-old partying it up in Ibiza decided to follow in this grand tradition, opting for a tattoo of the YouTube viral hit 'Baby Shark' - a song so popular one couple even chose to dance to it at their wedding recently.

She got the words 'baby shark dodododododo' down her forearm and, understandably, her dad is fuming.

Chloe, from Lancaster, paid over £100 to be forever branded with the song that's been viewed more than one billion times on social media.

However, her dad has not seen the comedic levels of the tattoo and is not impressed with his daughter's new ink addition.

She said: "My dad's not very happy - he's not seen the funny side of it at all."

But despite her dad being unimpressed, she says her mum does see the funny side of it and is even considering getting a 'Mummy Shark' tattoo.

Chloe said she got the ink due to her love of the song - and a day of heavy drinking on the popular holiday island.

She forked out an impressive €60 (£54 / $42) for the tattoo - which the artist didn't actually know the reference to.

Chloe told The Sun: "The tattoo artist didn't know what it was. They actually put the song on when they were doing it and by the end we were all singing it together.

"They found it funny - they said it was one of the funniest tattoos they've ever done. My mates were laughing about it the whole time."

She was so serious about the tattoo that when she'd realised the tattooist had left off one 'do', she went back to have it all finished - along with an extra little tattoo of a little shark beside the lyrics.

The extra ink cost Chloe another €60 which she say's was worth it.

She said: "I one hundred per cent won't regret it when I'm older either. I'll see it as a reminder of what a great time I had.

"I was a bit like, 'What have I done?' But I just found it funny. It's a good memory to have and I don't regret it at all.

"I was thinking that every time I go on holiday now I'll get another line from the song added.

"I shared it on social media and a lot of people have been laughing and saying it's a great memory."

She's not the first person to get inked with a questionable tat, and she certainly won't be the last.

And if Chloe does regret the tattoo one day, she could always make an appearance on Tattoo Fixers - who could even take that hypothetical stetson-waving scrotum we mentioned earlier and turn it into a beautiful work of art.
