A person has been seriously injured and another has sustained minor injuries after a hire car smashed into vehicles in a bid to escape a Tesco car park.
Shocking footage shows the blue Citroen crashing into parked cars as shoppers attempt to stop the vehicle by ramming it with trolleys and hitting it with golf clubs.
The chaos unfolded outside the supermarket in Rickmansworth, UK, on Sunday afternoon after the driver and passenger were involved in an incident in the store stemming from a person being challenged for attempting to steal alcohol.

A video shows a large group of shoppers and employees gathered around the vehicle - which already has a damaged wing mirror - as it ploughs into a parked car.
One man then repeatedly rams a shopping trolley into the driver's door while another man bangs the windscreen.
People can also be heard shouting 'get out' and 'stop the car'.

One man then opens the driver's door, but after a brief pause, people can be heard telling the man to 'leave him in there'.
The driver revs aggressively and spins his wheels before crashing into more parked cars. The Citroen then shunts its way through more parked cars and alarms begin to sound, as one man smashes one of the vehicle's windows with a golf club.
After a short reverse, the Citroen manages to speed off from the car park.
