It'd be one thing cheating on your missus and facing the wrath of a mate, your mum or any of her friends. But what about, er, the entire internet?

Enter 'Cheating Ben', as he's now known, who was caught bragging about cheating on his girlfriend on a train from Bournemouth to Manchester last Friday.

He was overheard by a stranger, Emily Shepherd, who took to Twitter to call him out, tweeting: "If anyone has a boyfriend called Ben on the Bournemouth - Manchester train right now, he's just told his friends he's cheating on you. Dump his ass x"

"There were a group of boys sat towards the end of the carriage drinking, swearing and playing music out loud," Emily tells LADbible.

"They were talking about how many prostitutes they'd had (gross) when they started going through Facebook profile pictures saying 'Yeah, I'd shag', and one of them said, 'Yeah, I already have'.

"The boys then said, 'What about your girlfriend?' and he replied 'She doesn't need to know'.

"The carriage was practically empty minus a few people, and I could see them making disgusted faces just like me!"

"I think because I was just disgusted with what they were saying - I needed to rant."

In need of unloading some rage, it was then that Emily decided to take to Twitter, where the story soon went viral.

Emily said she's 'surprised' that the pickup has been so amazing, and that the internet has been coming together to find 'Cheating Ben'. Even Dragon's Den star Deborah Meaden and comedian Katherine Ryan have tweeted to get involved.

But despite the high profile, no one's had any leads on the elusive Ben just yet.

"I've had a few people message me on Twitter, and on Facebook, too," Emily tells us. "Nothing confirmed yet!"

Not everyone's been on board with Emily calling 'Cheating Ben' out on his misadventures, with some people saying it wasn't right for her to dob him in.

Luckily, though, most of the internet has got her back. She's also sticking to her guns, sarcastically saying to them on Twitter: "Thanks to everyone calling me a grass and a snake, you're all great X".

Does she have any advice to Ben, whoever and wherever he is?

"Just to be honest," Emily says. "If my boyfriend had cheated on me, I would want to know."

C'mon, Ben, 'fess up. It's only fair to all the non-cheating Bens out there, surely? Plus. we're all nosy as fuck.
