Suspected Drug Dealer Spends 24 Days In Police Custody As He Refuses To Poo

Incredibly, it's set a record for the local cops who have been waiting more than three weeks for him to go to the bathroom...

Plenty of people around the world have been caught with drugs in their system. You've probably heard of the trick where a trafficker loads the narcotics into a condom and swallows it to evade detection and then excretes them a day or two later.

Well, one London bloke allegedly thought he'd give that a whirl, until he was caught by the cops. Unfortunately for the team attached to Operation Raptor, that set in motion a war of attrition between them and the alleged offender.

Writing on Twitter, the Harlow, Epping Forest, Brentwood and Thurrock District Gangs and Urban Street Crime Unit wrote: "London gang nominal arrested for failing to stop for police and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

"Male doesn't think we have the power to keep him until he removes said items from his bottom."

They've since been providing a daily update on the man's condition - and it's a mixture of hilarity and bewilderment.

"Male is still refusing to pass objects," Operation Raptor tweeted the day after the arrest. "Still doesn't believe police have this power to hold him until he produces."

The cops have applied for an extension of their detention warrant three times since #PooWatch started. He's set the record for the most amount of days spent in police custody in the West and is coming up on his 25th day.

While no one condones his alleged drug activity, you don't deny that his ability to control his bowel movement is miraculous. He's refusing to eat or drink - for obvious reasons - but according to Operation Raptor: "He is being seen daily by doctors and constantly watched, this is his own choice and so far, his health is fine."

The Crown Prosecution Service representative told the court: "The one person preventing this from being resulted is the defendant himself."

Operation Raptor's daily updates are filled with chuckle-inducing hashtags including #WeWontGiveUp, #ComeOn, #MustBeHungry and my personal favourite #HowLongCanYouGo.

The bloke is coming up on a decent milestone set by 33-year-old Aaron Hudson's body when he was arrested in 2016. It took a whopping 27 days for the class A drugs he had ingested to finally come out the other side.

Police Constable Dan Cloake, from Sussex Police said: "This should be a stark reminder to any drug dealers who supply class A drugs in Sussex that we will use every bit of legislation available to us in order to prosecute you.

"This is not the first time we have used this specific legislation and it will not be the last."

It'll be interesting to see how long Operation Raptor's suspect can hold on for.
