A sugar baby has revealed what life is like as part of the UK's highly lucrative sugar dating scene, where wealthy men and women provide financial assistance to someone in exchange for an agreed 'arrangement'.

Appearing on Secrets of Sugar Baby Dating, which airs at 10.35pm tonight on BBC One, 18-year-old Valentina spoke to journalist Tiffany Sweeney - who also went undercover as a sugar baby as part of the documentary.

Fashion student Valentina currently has a total of seven sugar daddies, each of whom give her a monthly allowance - known in the sugar dating world as an 'arrangement'.

Most of her sugar daddies are over 40, more than twice her age.

"I can never level with boys my age," she told Sweeney.

"They'd rather sit at home and just play FIFA."

Valentina explained the men like the fact that she's young, adding: "They don't want a woman that's going to come to them grumbling with problems, with stresses of her life.

"They want to meet a girl that injects youthfulness back into their lives.

"Some guys like the school girl kind of fantasy. Sometimes there's roleplay involved - it's interesting sex.

"I enjoy it, too. It's fun - like a school girl... I mean I am a school girl, I'm at college."

While Valentina wouldn't reveal exactly how much she earns from sugar dating, she did explain just how lucrative the arrangement could be.

"The average sugar baby takes like £3,000 a month from one guy," she explained.

When Sweeney asked whether or not she was the 'average sugar baby', Valentina gave a coy smile.

Along with cold hard cash, sugar babies are often given extravagant gifts - like a dress of Valentina's that cost 'over the grand mark'.

Sometimes she says she'll gesture and flirt with the men when she sees something she wants, so that they associate shopping with sex.

In exchange, Valentina gets glammed up and goes out with them. She does, however, admit that sometimes things don't just stop there.

"My relationships with these men are sexual, I'm not gonna lie," she said.

"Of course I wanna sleep with them, of course I wanna rip their clothes off, just like any normal relationship."

According to Secrets of Sugar Baby Dating, there are three and a half million people using sugar dating sites in the UK.

Valentina met most of her sugar daddies on SeekingArrangement, which claims to be largest sugar dating site - and also has a dedicated Sugar Baby 'University' aimed at students, who can receive monthly allowances, gifts and 'professional and social opportunities'.

"Traditional ways of getting financial aid to attend college or university can be a nightmare," the website says.

"SeekingArrangement offers students the chance to find open and empowering relationships while also getting help to pay for school and other benefits. Join today for an elevated college or university experience."

However, Sweeney voices her concerns with the seemingly perfect set-up, which she thinks might be to good to be true.

"The websites I spoke to were clear that sugar dating is about mutually beneficial relationships, and not about sex for cash," she said.

"But by specifically targeting cash-strapped students, I wondered how many ended up on the sites out of financial desperation, vulnerable to the offers of much older, wealthy men or women."
