We all love a good family reunion - it's good to see someone again after a long period of time apart. That's especially true if the person you're waiting to see has been away in the military.

There is an added worry involved in that - no matter where you are, it's a dangerous place to work, as most people are well aware.

With that in mind, it's nice to see a bit of heart-warming footage that has emerged that shows a toddler seeing his military mum for the first time in ages as she is returning from a deployment.

The mum is US Air Force Staff Sergeant Chelsey Speicher, and to say that her young son Bennett is pleased to see her is something of an understatement.

He comes practically flying towards her and envelops her in a huge hug. The two had only managed to talk to each other via a video link whilst she had been away with her work.

Staff Sergeant Speicher was returning from having spent six months in Jordan.

As she arrives through the gate, Bennett shouts, "There's mom!" and sets off running. She says, "Hi Baby!" seemingly shocked to see how much the young lad has grown since she's been off in the Middle East.

Then, the final piece of the puzzle arrives, her husband and Bennett's dad arrives the three of them are reunited once more. Touching stuff, I'm sure you'll agree.

The rest of the family came along to the airport too, the video sees a whole load of visitors and family members coming up to give her a hug to welcome her back. It would be nice to know that everyone had a family like this.

They even brought flowers along with them too, which is a good effort.

As you can probably imagine, she was quite taken aback and overwhelmed by the whole thing. Well, you would be, wouldn't you?

On top of that, as mentioned, she's probably in shock at how much her little boy has grown up. Six months is a long time when you've got a toddler.

At one point she says: "I'm shaking. I am literally shaking,"

This poignant moment took place in an airport somewhere in the US state of Georgia, most likely at an airport in Atlanta.

Wherever it took place, it's a lovely video, and well worth a watch if you're waiting on a loved one coming home from somewhere.
