Turns out people do not like poorly Photoshopped food

Check out this mighty fine photo, taken from a UK chippy's menu:

The photo has caused a massive stir online.

Looks alright, doesn't it? A nice, golden pie, some chips and a mound of peas - a bit dry, but nice. But look closer. Gaze more intently at the peas and you'll see something that is causing a lot of upset online.

Because, yup, those peas are upside-bloody-down, aren't they? Who, until now, even knew that there was such a thing as upside down peas? And yet they are, quite clearly, upside down peas.

Sharing the photo on Twitter, a user with the handle Spotty Len, wrote: "Why are the peas upside down? It's f***ing me up."

Plenty of other people were also annoyed.

One person wrote: "That tweet is f***ing me up. I've zoomed in on every pea, and Indeed they're all upside down. Dunno what to do with myself now." That is dedication to the upside down pea cause.

Another asked: "Why are the peas the only thing on the plate that are Photoshopped?"

A third person summed up exactly how I feel, by responding with: "'Peas are round, silly, they can't be upside down,' I said naively before looking at the image."

Some asked if they were 'Australian peas', which is the sort of childish banter that I live for.

It's also been shared on sub-reddit mildlyinfuriating, where it's been described as 'unsettling' and it was questioned how the... erm, artwork had been signed off without anyone noticing.

Of course, with season three of Stranger Things having landed on Netflix recently, many people questioned if those peas belonged in The Upside Down, where poor Will Byers had to spend a bit of time in the show.

Last week, another mind-bending image went viral after someone uploaded a photo that was either viewed as a lovely beach scene, or less excitingly, a car door.

Check it out:

Apparently if you're one of the folks who sees a beach, then you're a 'God damn artist', so good for you.

The pic divided people right down the middle, with those who could see the car questioning how anyone could see a beach - and vice versa.

It is, in fact, a car door, but fair play to everyone with the strong imaginative skills to conjure up a pretty beach scene complete with sand, sea and even a little boat on the horizon.
