It's hard to know where to stand on aliens. On the one hand, the universe is huge and we know so little about it that it seems impossible that we would be the only life forms in existence.
On the other hand, most of the people who claim to know anything about aliens tend to be absolute nutters with very little in the way of proof.
Still not convinced? Well, have a look at this footage from Australia that supposedly shows a 'planet sized' UFO moving into the sun.
The Australian footage also then shows a different angle of a smaller 'UFO' flying through the sky.
The glowing shape is seen in the sky and begins slowly inching towards the sun.
Without warning, it then fires directly into the sun and disappears completely.
During this, the camera pans to a second angle that shows a second flying object (that looks suspiciously like a bird) flying through the sky until it is obscured by a tree.
Could it be a trick of the light, or a reflection on the lens of the camera? Or is it positive proof that aliens are among us?
The video itself has all of the hallmarks of a classic piece of UFO footage. There looks to be a fish eye effect on the camera, and it seems to shake unnaturally and for no good reason pretty much the whole time.
It was posted on a YouTube channel called 'UFO INVASION' with the description "PLANET SIZED UFO STARTS MOVING ABOUT AND FINALLY MOVES INTO THE SUN. ANOTHER SMALLER UFO IS SIGHTED ALSO. RARE FOOTAGE FROM AUSTRALIA"
Seems legit, right? Why would they lie?
Well, there's probably good money to be made if you did actually discover extra-terrestrial life - think of the TV appearances alone.
In other ET news, the Pentagon has recently released footage of two US fighter pilots who saw what they believe to be a UFO off the west coast of America in 2004.
There's also this footage of a mysterious flying object above Russia that surfaced a few weeks ago. Oh, and NASA have discovered a huge object from outside our solar system that is just casually floating by us.
However, this particular footage is not very convincing, and to be honest, most people would struggle to keep up in a search in which one side has millions of pounds worth of funding on their side - not to mention Stephen Hawking - and the other has some crappy mobile phone footage.
Keep looking, folks. The truth is out there.
