Man Breaks Into Taylor Swift's House, Showers And Has A Nap

She knew he was trouble when he broke in

A man has been arrested after breaking into Taylor Swift's house, taking a shower, and then having a nap.

The man - who has now been identified as 22-year-old Roger Alvarado - allegedly climbed up the fireplace, put the window through, and let himself into the New York townhouse that is owned by Grammy-winning singer Taylor Swift.

Luckily, Taylor was not at the house at the time of the break-in, but police were alerted when someone saw him climbing up the outside stairs and smashing through one of the house windows.

Strangely they didn't arrive at the address in New York's upmarket Tribeca area until after Alvarado had taken a shower and had a nap. The cops arrived while he was asleep.

Alvarado - who is originally from Florida - has been arrested on charges of burglary, stalking, trespassing and criminal mischief.

It's not the first time the Tay Tay obsessive has been on the wrong side of the law. He was arrested earlier this year at the exact same address after trying to break in by bashing the door down with a shovel.

Unfortunately, Taylor Swift seems to attract this sort of unwanted attention - this incident is the fourth that has affected her in the past month.

At the beginning of this month, a man tried to scale the side of Swift's Beverley Hills mansion to get in, while - perhaps the creepiest of all of these events - on 14 April Julius Sandrock was arrested near her house in California wearing a mask and rubber gloves.

He said he had driven all the way from Colorado to see Taylor.

A search of Sandrock's car revealed a rope, ammunition, a knife, and more masks and gloves. He was found to be suffering from several mental health problems and was on probation in his home state for firearms offences.

In another bizarre event - this time outside Swift's Rhode Island house - 26-year-old Bruce Rowley robbed a bank in Connecticut and then drove to Taylor's house to give the proceeds of his robbery to her.

The police issued a statement at the time saying that he was trying to impress the singer. He never got his chance though, as police chased him down the interstate and took him into custody.

Like all of the other incidents, it doesn't seem like Taylor would have been home anyway, which is a clear advantage of having a busy schedule and many houses.

Who'd be a pop star, eh? Here's hoping she can shake it off. #sorrynotsorry
