David Blaine Sews His Mouth Shut - And More - On 'The Tonight Show'

Last night, David Blaine appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and made everybody both incredulous with disbelief at his incredible magic trick and a little bit queasy at the same time. See why below:

If you could sit that without wincing or gagging or looking away (or all three), then you did better than us.

On the show to promote his new tour, the magician and illusionist extraordinaire showed Jimmy, The Roots' Questlove and Tariq 'Black Thought' Trotter and singer/actress/Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra a brand new magic trick.

Now, we know that magic is really a devious mastering of sleight of hand, but we can't work out how the hell David Blaine did this.

He'd given Jimmy the choice of a card trick or a needle and thread trick. Jimmy chose the former but the magician, who's well-known for insane stunts like freezing himself in a block of ice, started with the latter.

By sewing his fucking lips together. Which is as hard to watch as it sounds like it would be, especially for those standing with him. Questlove and Priyanka in particular seem pretty creeped out, and who can blame them?The magician then asked Priyanka to pick a card from the deck, which she did.

David tore off a corner of the card and gave it to Jimmy for safekeeping before (silently) asking Priyanka to return the defaced card to the pack, which she did.

He then tossed the pack into the air, and the cards all fluttered to the ground. After a bit of coaxing, he got Tariq to cut open the stitches. No prizes for guessing what the magician produced from his mouth. Yep, the very card with its corner missing.

It's a very difficult act to watch - and if you're at all squeamish we definitely don't recommend it - but it's also incredibly impressive. That's not the end of it, either. Somehow, David then produced a little frog out of his mouth, spitting it into a glass of water before swallowing it again and walking off.

Truly, it's an incredible thing to watch - if you can stomach it.
