Remember Lane Pittman? The topless patriot who headbanged to Slayer in the middle of Hurricane Matthew?

Well, he's back and he's still topless, still headbanging and still standing strong in the face of hurricanes.

In his latest clip Pittman travelled to Mrtyle Beach, South Carolina, which is currently being battered by Hurricane Florence, with winds of up to 85mph.

Sharing his latest bizarre video on social media, he utilised caps lock to say: "YOU ARE WEAK AND SMALL FLORENCE!!!!! FLORIDA MAN IS HERE!!!!!"

The clip shows him headbanging and waving the Stars and Stripes while behind him awnings are being ripped off buildings as the hurricane rips through the town.

GoFundMe

Pittman actually set up a GoFundMe to secure some travel money for his latest trip.

On the online fundraiser, he wrote: "Pay for my gas/coffee and I'll go fight Hurricane Florence. MERICA BABY!!! We stick together."

And within an hour he had raised his target of $150 - 48 hours after posting the total stands at $935.

His latest clip has been 'liked' over 9,000 times since he posted it yesterday and has been flooded with hundreds of comments from people celebrating his weird act of defiance.

Obviously, it goes without saying that this is incredibly dangerous and shouldn't be attempted by anyone...including Pittman.

Meanwhile, in North Carolina, one weatherman came in for a bit of stick for 'over-exaggerating' his report.

The Weather Channel's Mike Seidel was seen wearing his waterproofs, holding a wide stance, looking as though he was struggling against the wild winds of Hurricane Florence.

However, in the background a couple of fellas can be seen enjoying a casual stroll and chat, while wearing shorts and ran jackets, seemingly not as affected by the winds as our man Mike the weather reporter.

After being slammed on social media for 'faking' his report, the Weather Channel responded to say: "It's important to note that the two individuals in the background are walking on concrete, and Mike Seidel is trying to maintain his footing on wet grass, after reporting on-air until 1:00 a.m. ET this morning and is undoubtedly exhausted."

OK guys, if you say so. Although later footage did reveal the guys behind him also walking on grass.

The Weather Channel presumably haven't seen that.
