Instagrammer Mocked For Badly Photoshopping Pictures Of Her Trip To Paris

You could be forgiven for asking if she went to Paris at all...

An Instagram influencer has come in for quite a bit of criticism after she posted a load of awfully photoshopped pictures of a trip she took to Paris onto her account.

OK, so we all know that Instagram is a place where people go to post pictures that show an unrealistic version of their lives, and that often includes posting pictures that have been doctored and edited after the fact.

As long as you can do that well, you can make a shedload of cash from it.

Clothing and cosmetics companies will queue up to pay the right person to drape their wares over them and post a heavily touched-up photo of them looking glamorous in a glamorous location to their thousands - sometimes millions - of followers.

However, you could be forgiven for wondering whether Swedish Instagrammer Johanna Olsson actually ever went to Paris at all. These edits are so bad that she sometimes looks as if she was just stood in front of a green screen.

Ordinarily, Johanna shares photos of her wearing lovely clothes that none of us could afford in places that many of us can't afford to go to. In doing that, she's amassed over half a million followers and probably a decent amount of cash and free things.

You'd image with that following - and wealth of knowledge of the 'Gram game - she'd be able to either hire someone to edit her pictures, or even do it herself.

Seriously, have a look at some of these.

On one picture she looks like she is floating above the pavement on a bridge over the River Seine. In another, some stuff appears to have been added in... or taken away... well, it's hard to say. It doesn't look right, though, that's for sure.

Despite all of the ridicule and criticism, she refuses to take the pictures down, claiming that everyone edits their photos, so there's nothing to be embarrassed about.

The 28-year-old posted an Instagram story that said: "I wanted to talk a little bit about the pictures I posted in Paris. So, I did one picture, shot it and didn't think it looked that nice... so I took a different background and put the background into it.

"And when I put it up nobody noticed so I thought, this is good.

"So I admit it wasn't my finest Photoshop skills. Now in Sweden this thing has gone crazy and TV shows want me to come on and talk about my 'fake travelling'."

She continued: "It's a bit ridiculous I think. There are a lot of influencers out there that use Photoshop in birds, rainbows or crazy skies and I could do that but I don't like that.

"I just wanted to make that clear that I was in Paris, but I did Photoshop the background, but I'm not going to take them down because it's a collaboration and they're nice pictures - it's a good outfit!"

Riiiiiiiight. Or you could not edit the photos at all? Paris was still beautiful before Photoshop even existed.
