New '5D' Porn Cinema Opens In Amsterdam's Red Light District

Suffice to say, all screenings at the cinema are 18+

A new '5D' porn cinema opened on Saturday and it comes as no surprise that it is located right in the heart of Amsterdam's Red Light District.

Of course, it is not actually '5D'. In basic terms, the first three dimensions are length, breadth and height, while the fourth dimension is time; this porn cinema does not go beyond any of those dimensions. However, it does feature things like bouncing chairs and water cannons, unlike most cinemas, which is presumably why it has decided to brand itself as a '5D Porn' experience.

The idea is that the cinema offers a more immersive experience than just watching porn from home, and truly what could be more arousing than getting a bonk on in a room with 17 total strangers? Plus, there are surely countless way more immersive sexual experiences littered all across the Red Light District - that's kind of what the place is famous for.

But the owner - who wished to only give her first name, Natalie - said the theatre could be a place to go with your partner. She also insisted it is not just a place for tourists to have a wank.

Speaking to the Dutch Review, she said: "We are definitely not just going after tourists for our audience.

"It's funny because in Amsterdam even the Dutch people have an interest in breaking free from the norm.

"Come with your wife, have a laugh, try something different."

The cinema promises to leave visitors feeling 'energised'.

Yes, try something different, come with your wife... surely Natalie knew what she was doing there?

The theatre screens films made in collaboration with Dutch porn star, Kim Holland, and Natalie said the experience leaves people feeling 'energised'.

She said: "Have you been to an amusement park? It's kind of like that.

"Lots of things happen so fast when you're in the audience that when it's finally all over you're left energised. You want to get back out there, have a beer or a coffee and talk, and process what just happened."

That doesn't seem hard to believe. Indeed, for anyone who hasn't been to the Red Light District, it is worth noting you should always allow time afterwards to 'process what just happened'.

But if you'd rather spend a weekend in Derby than Amsterdam, but you like all of your entertainment to be sex based, then why not visit House of Holes, a new adult themed crazy golf course?
