John McAfee Will Eat His D**k If Bitcoin Doesn’t Hit $1,000,000 By 2020

The man who lent his name to the annoying antivirus software now claims he’ll eat his manhood if Bitcoin bubble bursts by 2020

Bitcoin is the story that just won't seem to go away at the minute, with its value continuing to soar. Despite predictions that the bubble will burst soon and that it is not a matter of 'if' but a matter of 'when' it happens, it's continued to get more and more valuable in recent days.

It now stands at well above $16,500 (£12,276) and other cryptocurrencies such as Litecoin are showing signs of improvement as well. Only a handful of people saw this coming - and one such expert has now promised to eat his own dick if Bitcoin isn't worth £1 million by 2020.

John McAfee is a cryptosecurity expert and owns the same McAfee antivirus company that is responsible for telling you that 'your computer is at risk' every two seconds through annoying pop-up adverts.

Anyway, he was on the ball with Bitcoin long ago, even predicting that it would at some point reach above $5,000 in 2017. How right he was.

Back in July, he went on to say that it would reach $500,000 by the end of 2020, and he was pretty damn sure back then:

Now he's back to make more predictions - and up the stakes a bit. So it'll be $1m by 2020, then.

Given that his prediction this year was pretty conservative given what transpired, his new one is a much bigger leap, especially since 2020 is only 36 months away. And what's more, he's renewed his promise to go along with it.

He tweeted: "When I predicted Bitcoin at $500,000 by the end of 2020, it used a model that predicted $5,000 at the end of 2017.

"BTC has accelerated much faster than my model assumptions. I now predict Bircoin (sic) at $1 million by the end of 2020. I will still eat my dick if wrong."

Yes, so confident is he that he is willing to wager his crown jewels on it. Hmm, still seems like a long shot, but what do I know? I'm certainly not gambling my manhood on it.

Given the rate of expansion he has seen in such a short time, he has decided to double down on the dick-eating.

Taking into account his experience in the industry, he probably has a lot more knowledge than most about whether the Bitcoin bubble will burst or not.

He'll be eating more than his words if the cryptocurrency market goes tits up.
