Russian Presenter And Samsung Brand Ambassador Pictured With An iPhone

She's obviously not a very good brand ambassador...

We all make mistakes, here and there. However, for us ordinary folk, our mistakes rarely end up costing us a shed load of cash.

The same cannot be said for Russian TV personality Ksenia Sobchak, who may just have lost herself £1.25 million for the sake of a couple of shots that show her using the wrong mobile phone.

Let me explain. Sobchak is the presenter of a reality TV show as well as being a politician and a journalist. She is also a brand ambassador for Samsung.

Oh, and she has been rumoured to be the goddaughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, although she has denied the rumours.

Sounds like a great selection of work to have - she must be minted. However, footage has now emerged that shows her using an iPhone X. Oh dear.

Yep, that's not a good look for someone who is literally employed by the main competitor of Apple.

That's certainly the way Samsung saw it, anyway. They're so annoyed that they are suing Ksenia for 108 million rubles. There's the aforementioned £1.25m.

To be fair to her, she at least tried to cover it up with a sheet of paper, but this is an ongoing thing, it would seem.

She has reportedly also been seen at social events in Moscow and on the television using the iPhone. She's not a fantastic ambassador for Samsung, although Apple could give her a gig, maybe?

Apparently, her press agent has now started calling ahead to TV stations and media outlets asking them not to show her holding the iPhone.

Now, as for the Putin rumours, she is the daughter of the first elected mayor of St Petersburg - and also a personal mentor to Vlad - Anatoly Sobchak.

In recent years she has criticised Putin's politics, but their families are tight still.

She denied the rumours that he is her godfather, telling Russian radio: "The truth here is very banal. I swear that my baptism at the age of 12 was not really a memorable event... Vladimir Putin was there, among other people, but as my mother says, he was not my godfather.

Sobchak actually ran against Putin in the Russian presidential elections earlier this year (needless to say, she did not win) and claims that she doesn't even know the President that well.

She continued: "I have only met him on sad anniversaries of my father's death. I don't have and I have never had any other connections to Vladimir Putin."
