Like it or not, Pokémon Go is absolutely everywhere at the minute. Whether you're on the Pokémon Go bandwagon or not, you have to admit this is pretty amazing.

A couple of weeks ago, Ty, a 15-year-old lad with autism, was out playing Pokémon Go with his mum in Tempe Town Lake, Arizona. While he was out trying to catch 'em all, two older guys squirted BBQ sauce on Ty and his mum as well as shouting vile insults, including calling Ty a retard, abc 15 reports. Understandably, his mum was really upset by what happened and told the horrible story to her daughter - Ty's sister - Hope.

Hope was also pretty heartbroken about the whole situation and posted to a local Pokémon Go Facebook group to share her brother's experience. She described her brother as the 'sweetest, goofiest, most caring person' and she also shared the fact that 'he LOVES Pokémon Go' (join the club, Ty).

This is when the Internet and Pokémon Go fans decided to restore everyone's faith in humanity by organising a huge meet-up in support of Ty. They brought him presents and spent the afternoon playing Pokémon Go together.

Needless to say, Ty, Hope and their mum Angie were blown away by all the support. And his mum now vows to raise awareness of autism throughout their community.

Well done, people.
