Dutch Reality Show Makes Contestants Guess If Woman Is Fat Or Pregnant

I've learned to never ask a woman how far she's into her pregnancy on the chance that she might not be pregnant.

It's horrifically awkward if that does happen and pretty much renders any further conversation painful.

Just don't do it unless she mentions she's pregnant.

So you can imagine the utter awkwardness which ensues during a new Dutch reality TV show called Neem Je Zwemspullen Mee which translates to Bring Your Bathing Suit.

The first episode showed four men watching as a woman would come onto the stage and be ogled for several minutes.

It was then their god-given right to determine whether they thought she was carrying a baby or overweight.

People took to Twitter to show they were pissed.

Now if you thought that was bad, then the next segment might not change your mind. The mighty man panel was then asked the ultimate question of whether they thought a woman's breasts were real or not.

Phenomenal programming, Netherlands.

The pilot, which aired last year, showed another interesting segment which played on racial stereotypes.

An Asian man was put on a stage and rotated around to give contestants a full view of his face and body. They were then asked whether the man was Japanese or Chinese.

But before you sit there and wait for an apology from the Dutch TV network for reducing humanity down to such basic visual indicators; they've released a statement defending their show.

The statement read: "Your 'fat or pregnant' shows how you can go wrong if someone evaluates his or her appearance.

"With a satirical setting, it is a way to laugh off all kinds of prejudices."

But the problem is no one is really laughing.
